I almost wanna give up writing. The passion is somewhat gone and despite i wanna share my life, its tedious to do so. How good it is if just by thinking, photos can be miraculously arrange by itself, blog entries can be miraculously done up. Cause i always have ideas of what to write when i''m showering, but after shower, i can only think of relaxing in bed. =P

So, past week i was at Swissotel the Stamford - Raffles Convention Centre involve in the first ever Soccerex in Asia playing the role of Brand Ambassador.

Gold Coast 05 Mar - 11 Mar 2010 (Day 1 & 2)

On the 5th of March, i finally fulfill a small little wish of mine: to have a holiday at an Ang Mo country. To experience a different environment.

Australia - Gold Coast was chosen.

Took an extreme long period, past over a year of saving up, discussing and planning. It wasn't a trip that we can just go. Couple of times, we were at the verge of giving up the whole plan, so i'm truly over the moon when the air tickets were booked. No more turning back.

Closing to destination, it was a gloomy sky that welcome us.

This was a Free & Easy trip with all 'diy' bookings and arrangements, mostly my findings and D assistance

Airport transfer was arranged with CoachTrans.

Here comes our bus coach pulling a trailer for the luggage.
Quite good service with short tour briefing by our bus driver.

It is about 1~2hours journey from Brisbane to Gold Coast.

Staying at Courtyard Marriott for all 5nights.

Highly recommended and insisted by D for its location and surrounding buzzing activities.

Fairly an old hotel but still in pretty good condition. At least i never encounter problem like faulty heater, air-con, etc.

An area of improvement is their choice of receptionist. Bearing a tiresome look, not at all welcoming, doesn't 'listen' to understand our queries.

Yet, contrasting, their Concierge is very much worth commending. Although we came prepared, with various maps, knowledge and all, it couldn't beat a local's advice.

We plan to go about Gold Coast by their public transport as the cabs here are at extorting prices. Bus maps were prepared and printed out beforehand, but that only shows the bus route. We needed help for direction to the correct bus stop.

The concierge is a great help here. As after freshening up at the hotel, it was already 11am+. Our initial plan is Carrara Market > Gold Coast Turf Club. But were advised to skip Carrara as its a morning weekend market, should go at 8~9am. Luckily for him, else we wouldn't know.

If you wonder is it occupational disease, i would say maybe yes. For i'm not allow or the chance to see upclose on horse racing, even when i'm off duty. So here i am...

We actually stayed till the very last race, saving the money by taking free shutter bus back.

Malls closes around 5pm in Gold Coast. So basically, not much shopping can be done afterward. They do have night activities thou, such as Clubbing, Cinemas (maybe), Jackpotting (maybe) and Dining. We chose the latter.

If you wonder how i got sunburnt, i have no idea too. I'm magically burnt when the sky is gloomy and cloudy. I just got burnt. >.<"

After some walking around, our final choice is "Costa Doro" - acceptable pricing, seems popular.

The food was okay, not exceptional fantastic.

Loving the Bubbling Red Wine thou. Something Different and not expensive too.

2nd Day

Itinerary:
Carrara Market > Pacific Fair > Surfer's Paradise Beach > Casino

Bright sunny look in line with this sunny place.

Look behind me at the huge room. I requested for a king-sized bed when making booking, but they aint able to offer. To compensate, we have TWO queen-sized beds for just 2 of us. So I make use of the spare bed to lay out my barang barangs ;P

In the bus on the way to Carrara the weekend market.

We kept passing these houses with porches opening to waterside. They can literally fish directly at their doorsteps. Not at all surprising to find boats parking at their "garage".

It is a good place to grab brekkie.
This place l0oks good enough.

With our "accent", its easy to identify us - Singaporean. Upon knowing, the owner open his arms to us as he was a Singaporean too. Yup, note the past tense. According to him, he was the very first batch of us to shift his living and migrate to Australia.

Although we didn't get the discount i was hoping for, he did sit down telling us about his family. He also introduces his daughter and grandchild to us. Perhaps feeling abit nostalgic.

Then, was some more walking around in aid of digestion from the heavy brekkie.

Basically, this market is worth skipping as majority goods are suspected to be imported from Thailand. I would say 90% are. Yet the price are charged at their norm. I left empty-handed.

Oh ya, strangely enough, i kept seeing Korean students over there.

Good thing, Pacific Fair is en route. Sorry, no photo since time is tight. Was trying to rush back to enjoy some of the beach when the sun is still up.

Change into my newly bought red bikini from the Mall at only AUD$10!.

The beach is awesome! Waves are huge to me that i dun even dare to swim. I was wearing contact lens and really fear of seawater getting into my eyes. And errrr... goggle seems retarded on the beach. Soo, ya...

If you are interested to see how exactly awesome the beach is, stay tune for the very last day. heehe!

And i met a Sand-Builder Master! (I think he deserve this title from me ;))

Acting all expert and experience, he swiftly play around with sands, water, some tools to build the smoothness, edginess.

Like magic using sands, he created this....

Outstanding isn't it?!!

There are albums of his creations, and he seems to be situated in Surfer's Paradise. Maybe you will have the luck of meeting him like i do.

Dinner was takeaway pizza which suxs big time (thick flour taste with tasteless toppings - Cheat my money!!), company with beers and tv in hotel room.

More fun on next entries. I need to get my hands on the video clips.

Cousin-Time

Yesterday i had a date with my beloved cousin for the One-Day Loreal Sale at Expo. Given that i can't make it for the one at Concorde Hotel, which many raves, am so exhilarated when she said 'Yes, Lets go~".

One last check before leaving home

Initially had wanted to meet early (before) 11am the opening time, but my lateness again. So fear of the kiasu long que that many feedback after the sale held at the hotel.

To our surprise, there wasn't a que at all. Possible most have already went previously. Good thing as well, being able to take all the time with the testers, comparing. Am instantly alive jumping from sections to sections. I appear to be the most excited bunny. ^^

Alil disappointed with how little selection there is... eg. the makeup section, only gel liners, lipsticks, foundation, mascaras are available. No eyeshadow palette or blushers, not the full collection but only abit from each sections.

Still, the price is a bargain!

Arrive at Tampines, settle with HongKong Cafe - Central

Other than the drinks which are of acceptable standard, it is really not worth mentioning this HK Cafe.

Both noodles came in watery base with floating chilli oil. Mine was 担担面 which was not bad, at least we thought. So NO... the noodles gave my cousin a bad stomach while i was at the vergeof losing my voice. BAD!

And so, we change to another location - HK Sun Kee Dessert

We both ordered the Mango Pomelo Sago yet this most common easily success dessert is a failure. The mango cubes are too ripe. The base taste like those mango powder use in making mango pudding. Hardly any pomelo. Sigh! 2 bad choices. No more Tampines for us.

My Halfway To Fifty

I am officially age of 25 this year on 18th June.

It seems just a moment ago that i'm laughing at D for reaching the halfway mark to Big 50. Never did i expect myself joining him so soon later.

For this year, it happens on my last day at CommunicAsia with work completed by 4pm.

Being fetched.

On the way for my simple celebration....

.... Starting with dinner first....

Reservation was not made beforehand as D hasn't make plans (at least that's what i thought). All i'm told was: Dinner & Movie.

So, dinner at where... to be decide by me.

Movie at where... to be decide by me.

I was given the options:
- Marina Square
- Cineleisure
- Vivo City
with dinner settle somewhere nearby.

Eventually, i chose Vivo and decided with Japanese cuisine, that's when D suggested Himawari - which he has sourced.

Himawari has ala carte buffet similar to Ikoi, a place i enjoyed much.

Minus Ikoi's fanciful specials, Himawari has options for Shabu Shabu Hotpot, Sukiyaki or Outdoor Barbecue.

We chosen Shabu Shabu with pork slices filled with assorted vegs including golden mushrooms!

Begins with Chawanmushi that comes with real fresh prawns!

Still, i would like to get the free flow alcoholic drinks the next time. Imagine all the sake, shochu and beer i can have?!! Heavenly!

Do make reservations if you plan to head down. Its pretty packed.

With a uber bloated stomach, we caught Karate Kid and a short stroll at Mt. Faber and head back.

It was past 12 when home. My day has ended.

That's so i believe.

Mine sushi cake ordered 3 days in advance, before he could know nor i have want for Japanese Cuisine.

Yet, he knew!

All the while when i thought i was making the decisions but instead i was led into making it.
He sure knows me well.

A pity it doesn't taste as good as it looks.

My birthday gifts came in the form of sweet loving slides, angelic drawing and a white adidas watch of my style.

Just tuesday, i went for a movie date at Vivo. Its was special because for the past movies were caught at cinemas near home, which means going out in tees and shorts.

So at least Vivo is somewhere further and an excuse for me to doll up and liven up my mood.
Although the men, at least mine, cant understand this concept and almost affect my mood that i've built up the past 2 hours by asking:

"Why is it that you need not doll up when we go neighborhood mall yet to Vivo you do?"
"Don't you find it troublesome and tiring doing so?"

when all i'm waiting for is....

Aftermath, was abit of shopping in Daiso with the limited time before closing.

I've gotten this Blue Bouncy Rubber Spikey Ball that seems durable from bites, a criteria that i consider.

My baby boy Kopi LOVES balls, but they don't last with his biting. A rubber ball thats hard enough gets chewed off within minutes with the bits of chewed remnant no where to be found.

I was so happy and amused when finally a ball that is durable and too slippery for his catch.

and.... it couldn't get any better than....

I am in a dilemma here.

My writeup for March is overdue, but there isn't really much time to spare currently.

I'm referring to my trips to Gold Coast & Shanghai.

On one hand, i would like to share my entire experience in as much details as possible, but this require tons of effort and time. Esp so, when i have photos from 2 cameras and video-cam to consolidate.

On another hand, maybe photos will do just great, rather than 晚报. =P

Hotel & Food Asia 2010

Two weeks ago, i took four days out for Hotel & Food Asia 2010.

My very first time involvement with sucha lively and fun event where plenty of foods and drinks were available. From breakfasts - Soy Milk, Fruit Juice, Coffee (Boncafe / UCC) to mains - Pizza, Pasta, Sausages to tea breaks - tarts, cookies, muffins, bread & cheese to desserts - Ice-Cream, Brownie Bar (a proud homemade product of Singapore) to partying beverages - Red wines, White wines, Dessert wines, Champagne and BEERS!

So basically, there's no worries for growling stomach and instead, which booth for lunch today.

I helped out with B.I.D which distribute specialty beers from Germany, Belgium and Australia.

Usual early morning

My task was to serve beer - draft beer!

Being a greenhorn with tapping, the few first visitors had a foamy beer. But i soon get the hang of it, and it was pretty fun! I get to taste all the beers too~~ and this is one to excite about... should you know me. =D

My co-partner, Elly who was nice to work with.

A pity she is a Muslim and can't join in the fun of drinking.

The friendly staffs who makes the whole event enjoyable!

Certainly a memorable experience.

Hokkaido 5th - 11th Nov 2008 (Day 6 & 7)

Day 6

Leaving Lake Toya, we were slowly making our journey back to Chitose.

Along the journey, our very first stop is the famous Bear Ranch for some Ezo grizzly bears.

The bears were trained (or not) to perform some acts, such as begging, waving or simply posing sillily, to beg for food (apples) from tourists.

Strangely enough, humans are amused by these acts, contributing to the money generated by extorting the bears from their most natural behaviour.

Not as if humans have not deprive enough from the nature, the bears have to sacrifice to entertain us and forsake their bears' dignity. Definitely depressing!

Some might argue that as least the bears have a shelter, hence "working" for their meal is acceptable else there might be even worse consequences with them roaming around. However so, we were the ones who first intruded their habitat and forcing them in acting foolishly whilst us mocking.

In no way THIS is ethical.

Please only patronise and support those wildlife sanctuary. Not those that uses animal as a money-making tool.

Nearby, is another photo shot location - Mt Showa where I witness an active volcano that is still smoking. It is a landform that raised from a farmland after 2 years of volcanic activities.

One of the most memorable highlights of this trip is Apple Picking at Sobetsu Fruits Farm. The types of fruits available is depending on the season.

Usually, i am not a very apple person since it's just a common tropical fruit available all year round.

Much to my surprise, One Bite blew me away.

It taste nothing like the common apple. These were extremely sweet with honey-like core and super crunchy and juicy!

I'm talking about these yellow apples that i'm about to show。。。。。

Although they are not as photogenic as the red ones, trust me! Its uber subarashii!

In an hour of free flow tasting, I had 3~4 big apples by myself. Totally stuffed after.

To make things even better, we were allowed to pick and select 2 apples each to bring home.

(Although this activity is not inclusive in the tour, its unquestionably worthwhile!)

Now comes the red ones to steal the show.

Immediately after was seafood for lunch.

Still i finish it with a full stomach. Needless to say, this trip makes me gain considerable pounds.

Yubari for dessert.

Not cheap for just a slice. But none honeydew can compare.

Our finally stop: Ainu Museum

Ainu are the native group of Japan and Russia.

We were brought to Shiraoi Ainu Village to learn about their culture and lifestyle through their dancing and performances.

This group was once discriminated and forbidden from observing their daily customs due to ethnic issues in Japan. (Such as they are only allowed to wear their traditional costume during 'work' in this museum.)
However now, there are efforts to preserve and maintain Ainu culture.
For more info, you can look up "Ainu people" in Wikipedia.

A distinguish old man in their traditional costume explaining on the unique fireplace - as such to dry and conserve the straw shelters while smoking the fishes.

Woman at that time had their lips tattooed which signify adulthood.

Then its back to Nikko Hotel, the same hotel i had on the first day.

Hokkaido 5th - 11th Nov 2008 (Day 5)

Day 5

Came to a charming ancientic Otaru Town full of character shops that make up its streets.

Selectively, we went to some of the more famous distinctive shops.

First up, Otaru Musical box Museum

They have quite a considerable musical boxes in the most stunning multicolored collection. Many ladies were there with continuous tunes of melodies playing. Everything is soooo... kawaiii and fanciful, so much so, it wasn't my liking. And seriously speaking, musical box is quite purposeless.
I'm not a girlish lady after all.

Hand-blown glassworks are their signature piece too.
So, you might want to visit the Kitaichi Glass Complex for their antique lamp and hand-blown glassware.

When nothing catches your eyes, food always never fail.

There are so much cafe / snackry to choose from.

My tour guide recommended the Cream Puff from Kitakaro Cafe.

Ask for 梦不思议。

I would recommend Chocolate from LeTao!

Extremely smooth texture combines with indescribable aromatic bittersweet flavor.

One try and i'm asking for more. Much to my disappointment, it doesn't comes cheap, so i left.

Wants struggling with reasonableness.

And i give in.

Satisfying my crave by unshamelessly reaching out for the samples from the staff at the storefront. I have to compliment the staff for not showing a disapproving look or count myself lucky that i'm in japan. Adding in, all my relatives doesn't eat dark chocolates and i get to enjoy their shares as well. =D

As with everywhere else,
Melons, Umeshu, Taraba Crabs are a common scene.

What not to miss and of affordable prices are the Shredded Dried Ika (squid) and Sweet Corn! If you didn't know it already, the corns in Japan can be eaten in its most original state - RAW yet the sweetest that i ever had.

If you are a fan of Hello Kitty, drop in to 銀の鐘 to have freeflow of coffee or tea and a piece of cake at a minimal fee. Not that the drinks or food is exceptional nice, but in fact of terrible standard that some just threw and emptied it, just so for the Hello Kitty mug that comes with it.
Water and soap are provided and there are a few designs to choose from. A bad deed but good deal in Japan.

There is a total of 5 branches in Otaru,
namely 銀の鐘1号馆, 2号馆, 3号馆, 4号馆 and 7号馆.
Don't as me why the missing numbers and its true from their homepage i just checked.

So this cafe is everywhere, but apparently not all offer the same deal.

You may also need to pay admission fee for some branches?!

After a short pause of relaxation,
its to a photo-stop location, Otaru Canal just streets away.

This stretch of canal is lined by century old stone warehouses that now function as restaurants, shops, cafes and museum, and adorned with Victorian-style street lamps. Certainly a picturesque sight.

A couple of "Rickshaw" riders can be seen. And unlike SG, they are young fellows of both male and female!

I'm so attracted to this gal here!

She is sooo lively and with awesome spirit! Every photos that we took, she voluntarily changes a pose even when we didn't pay for her service.

But underneath the big smiles, her work is actually very tedious when i get to witness them pulling the rickshaw away at full energy.

Across the canal is a Japanese temple, i presume.

And if you recall (in Day 1) , i mention there's this 高妹 (tall gal) in our tour group.

Night is back to Hotel for R & R.

Dinner was International Buffet with plenty varieties accompanied with Japanese drummer performance.

As with every other day, i'm always looking forward to have a nice bath in the Onsen.

For once, i manage to try both pools at this hotel and i'm glad i did!

Day time - Ladies pool have switched to the Right.

I deliberately dragged myself out of bed, and solely went for the Onsen for an experience i could never forget... I wish i have photos to share, but i've only words to bring you into what i have experienced.

Stepping onto the little stoneswalk in a normal looking pool, I reached a mini door that is of such a height which everyone has to squat considerably low to pass it. Behind the door, is the Outdoor Onsen surrounded with stones boundary. The air is still chilly contrast with the hot spring water i'm submerged in.

Slowly, i shift myself nearer to the boundary and right in front of me was the million dollar view of
Lake Toya.

This is close to what i'm experiencing.

Lake Toya is the third largest crater lake in Japan.

And behind it, is "Mt. Fuji" of Hokkaido.

Talks covering all fields of interest and at much ease as if i AM one of them. (People watching, gossiping, talk cocking, drinks and snacks.)

Day 4

A morning storm bid us farewell.

Proceeding down to Sounkyo Gorge, situated at the foot of Mt Daisetsu.

It is a Great Canyon surrounded by cliff.

And not to miss... the well-known 'couple' waterfalls.

We missed the Clock Tower with the darken sky.

Time given for a little shopping at the underground shopping mall. Somewhere near is the once existed in Singapore "Daimaru", but we never gotten there. The underground exits are so confusing. Hard to get direction from the japanese as well.

Eventually we shop at their shopping mall, specifically window-shopped. Everything cost a bomb. Went to the Burberry Blue Label section empty-handed.

By the way, IT are so hot in Japan that they have an entire storeys high building selling only IT products. Actually, not something new right?! Lol!

Day 3

Start the day in an early morning.

(Tokachigawa onsen : Vegetable moor hot spring. One of only such hot springs that exist in the world)

I went to the hotel backyard for some last min shot before leaving.

One thing about Hokkaido trip is that everyday we have to wake up slightly past wee hour, had breakfast then onboard the coach for a few hours to reach the next destination. And usually so, its lunch time when we reached.

We are traveling north.
Where the degree is dropping.

When i awoken at the next rest area, we are elated to be greeted by this....

First time seeing snow!

And although, its probably a few days old snow that have been piled together, its still hard to contain our excitement.

Lunch at "Five Star" International Buffet.

They serve Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Western food. This is the only meal when i get to eat sushi, and not those made by professional sushi chef. =(

But still, this place is flooded with tourists, even japanese themselves.

To Asahikawa - Asahiyama Zoo

Like what's new about Zoo right?!

But i am so wrong!

This zoo is designed to offer reallllyy close-up view of the animals.
(you will get mesmerize like me later~)

Although you cant tell from the photos, the wind is indeed chilly to make me keep the hood on.
My nose doesn't get red, but my ears hurt badly.

And for open enclosure, they are mostly separated merely by a trench.

We were only given approx 2 hours to explore the whole zoo, hence i was flying everywhere so that i can digest the whole place.

Yet, just now when I was goggling for the overview / entrance picture,
I found that i still miss out so much more!

I didn't see the seal swimming through this vertical water tank to the surface

I didn't see the Penguins Parade!!!!

We were then brought to the ICE PAVILION

where we can experience extreme coldness and the once -41 degree Celsius occurred in Hokkaido.

Extra coat is provided.
In total, i'm wearing 4 / 5 layers of clothing.

Ultra puffy!

Here live the mystical sea creature called "Sea Angels - Kurione"

They appear literally like angels!

Tiny wings flapping front and back with transparent body except for the red heart. Tiny little horns on the head too.

They are rare and only survive in cold waters.

I saw angels!! Thanks to me, you did too. Hahaha!!!

Night falls.... travel deeper into the mountains.... lodge at APA Hotel in the valley.

Temperature drop drastically at the foot of the mountain.

My favourite onsen of this trip is in this hotel!

Because....

onsen in cold weather is shiok!

plus, you see the wooden bars in the roof??

This is an open air bath. While soaking, i'm catching snow on my head.

This week D will be away to Korea, and i'm sooo jealous!
Its -10 degree over there, so it means a must for Coats / Boots / Earmuffs
A chance to dress up like you never could in Singapore.

And Snow!

This reminds me of an entry i should have & promise to write about long long time ago.

DAY 1

On board: ANA

Bypass Tokyo at Narita Airport and switch to Domestic flight.

When we reach Chitose Airport, its already night time.

Stayed in a nearby Hotel Nikko Chitose, just about 15mins away.

The weather is already chilly, at 10+ degree. Jacket is essential.

After dropping our luggage, we cross over to their convenience store and start dreaming of being in the scene of Japanese drama.

First thing that greets me is their signature array of magazines.

and this particular adult section we can't find in SG

Western have bathrobes.

Japanese have Yukata.

They have such machine too.... 有料贩售机

Readily available.

No wonder AV Stars are so popular!

Day 2

First off, a group photo.

Make up mainly of Aunties and Uncles, after all this is a tour organise with 97.2FM DJ.

Only another (at the far left in blue) is of similar age with me.

We call her 高妹 as she is really tall, like 1.7m or taller.

Yet full of the Japanese feel.

Mega Huge with brands like Gap, Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Wacoal, Triumph, Levis, Nine West.
Random Japanese brands are available too, but i can't remember them.

All the packaging are sooo kawaiii and looks tasty.

(I didn't buy this set as i dun fancy Milk Chocolate. But the packing is so attractive to miss.)

Stopover at Hidaka (日高）- Rest Area

A mistake not to bring down my jacket.

The tour guide then brought us to this place for their well-known 马油 (Horse Oil)
which can be apply to the face and body. Made into Shampoo, Shower foam, etc.
Its suppose to be very moisturising, especially for their dry and cold weather.

It's not disgusting as it sounds and smell alright. But too oily for my liking.

Just beside the store, is this Gigantic Bear Statue.

It says: Beware of Bear!

Apparently, Hokkaido have quite a bit of bears around, and if you are lucky, you may even spot one.

By the way, make a guess of the time, judging from the photo....

its actually 4pm only!

And minutes later after these photos, it has gotten sooo dark to even see the forest.

The Sun sets early in Hokkaido, shortening the activities we can do during the day.
Unless you wanna wake up in the wee hours, when i've been waking up at 6~7am during this trip.

With night falls, its back to hotel.

After dinner,

Onsen Time~~~~

First, we have to be in the Right Dressing.

And of course, make use of the opportunity to cam-whore.

The hot-spring in Female and Male are different.
Some could be different in the the 'herbs' use.
Some could be different in the view.
But both would definitely will Indoor and Outdoor hot-springs.

Good thing is, the Onsen open 24hours.
And every morning 6am, the Male and Female would change side.

So it means, you can take a dip in the night and the morning to experience both sides.

Some rules to know:
(especially if you appreciate the onsen like the japanese)

1) A must must must to undress fully.

No undergarments.

You can bring along a small towel/cloth to cover whatever you can cover.
But once you enter the onsen, you should leave the cloth at the side or place on top of your head but not into the pool. (AT ALL!)

This is to prevent any possible contamination.

2) Must must must to clean yourself thoroughly before entering the onsen.

This is to prevent contamination as well as hygiene purposes.

3) Take a break after every 10~15mins dip.

This is not hot bathtub.

Long dip is not beneficial and instead you might faint instead.
Now, this is embarrassing.

I feel that you should respect what the nature is providing and which your little gestures will preserve the nature.

Well, of course i was initially awkward with the idea of going bare naked in front of people, and in front of my own mummy.

But the japanese are so at ease with one another.

They can go walking around naked, chit chatting, in no hurry to get dress.

Are least interested in how your body looks like.

After all,

what others have, i have.

what i have, they have too.

Why not just relax and enjoy!~

Belated. But still, its a New Year! =)

Time really wait for no one. A week just past by.

Not enough of holiday right?! I think all chinese are still in holiday mood. Cause Chinese New Year is just around the corner. First come shopping for new clothes... Then 大扫除... I can smell it! Can you?!! Lol.

New Year was simple this year.

Home with D, the two of us. Playing the TV with local countdown programme. And playing Monopoly with Chivas while waiting. Haha! Yes, you did not read wrongly... Its Monopoly with Chivas! Lol!!

We come up with this rule ourselves. That all fines from 'Chance', 'Community Chest', 'Income Tax', '500' to get out of jail will go to "Free Parking". So anyone that stops at Free Parking will possibly gain a huge fortune and turn the table around. Next weird rule is, anyone who "Go To Jail' will be punish with a mouth of Chivas for Each Turn spent in Jail. So to avoid drinking, pay 500 to contribute to "Free Parking" and pray hard to throw the dice at '10'. Double digits not counted!

Skillful me beat D hands down! Wahahahaha!!!

And i only got like 2 or 3 hotels built. Heehe!

Not forgetting Kopi too. For the 2nd year.
He is a great part of our lives now. My parents / D's parents are only asking for Kopi whenever they see one of us home.

He is just soooo adorable!
Even though quite a menace nowadays.

Its a headache to leave him alone in the house, even for an hour or so, without preparing to find some mess when i'm back.
I don't caged him.
Just left him roaming around the whole house with plenty of toys to keep him occupied.
And apparently this is not sufficient.

look at the huge mess he created when i first left him 'Home Alone'!

I tried to 'educate' him with an advice i've gotten.

1) Before going out, talk to let him know that i'm going out and to wait for me to come back. So at least he won't be clueless.

2) Leave lots and lots of toys.

3) On the radio / some music to create a fake presence.

4) To reward with treats when he behave / To show him the mess, saying 'NO' in a stern manner.

Well, i tried and failed.

i need more advice!!

And not just this.

Kopi loves the rubbish bin now. Picking the rubbish (tissues, wrapper, dry leaves) out. And whenever i put them back, he will pick them out Again shortly.
D says Kopi did it so to get my attention because i was neglecting him with the computer. I don't know.

Please advice me!

On top of all these headaches, I love him still.

How can i not, look at him.

The first day of 2010, i went to work.

Following day is spent in town and my official first time in Ion.

Actual Christmas Day 2009

Continuing from after x'mas eve countdown,

D and Sky decided on fishing... fishing on Kelong!

At 1am+ , we foursome travel down to Changi Village to get tools and equipment for tomorrow. Weights, Hooks, Threads etc... all New.
Because fishing on sea is different to fishing pond, according to the sales person.
As usual D is fickle minded and hours spent.

Having to board the boat early morning 8am,
four of us search through a few supermarkets to get baits, when it was already 3am.
Took us another hour with time still ticking away.

Home at 5am
Slept and waking up at 6+

This is sooo exhausting....

Still, us four sleepyhead was immediately energize upon reaching the pier.

We are going to a local kelong, in Singapore Sea, near to Pulau Ubin.

Except for D, its Our Virgin Trip.

On Board~

The SUN is Shining Bright! A Wonderful day out of the many rainy days recently.
Lucky!

I find it hard to stable myself across these planks.
And when a strong current comes, we 'all' are swaying along with it.

Only relaxation and each other company.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

This is yet another year of simple celebration/gatherings

Before that, was a date with Ade & Jean back to OCBC as ex-ocbcian for their Christmas party.
Its been 2years and 8months since i left.
The used to be 3 big teams have shrank to a single unit.
Luckily there were still some familiar faces.
Great for some small catching up.
And even though i went there empty handed, i have gifts to carry back home.

So, back to the night gathering
with D's gang at JJ's place.

Very last minute confirmation, like 2 days before Xmas Eve.
Gift exchange at a minimum of $10.00

Racing with time, we grab the gifts at the nearest and most convenient Hougang Mall.
And we are not alone!
Bumped into Sky who was scrambling to get his done. Haha!!

Don't think that with merely $10.00 we cant get a decent gift.

I purposely wrapped using 'Mini Toons' wrapper where most of our past gifts came from.

But dun get fool by it! =P

The big one contain a Set of 6 Photo Albums, at just nice $10.00
and
The small one is Parker's Metal Pen, just slight above $10.00 too!

So the gifts are settled and we are On the way....

Due to complaints, we had a change in tradition from barbecuing to sizzle pot,
which the guys were hands up for it.
Finally say goodbyes to the tough scrubbing and washing.

Exams over!

Its Over...Over... Over!!!!

Gotta sooo sick of it!

The last night before my last paper was the worst night, ever!

Going to rest at 3am and awoken at 5,
then whenever each time i try to close my eyes,
numbers and more numbers are whirling in my head.
They keep popping up and subconsciously i'm trying to figure out answers.
It frustrate me so much when i got stuck and yet i'm too tired to think.

I gave up eventually and make myself worn out with anything else but numbers!

This had better be worth it!

Next day, is a pampering session.
A day for myself with no disturbance.

My ugly hair roots have grown till 6cm long, totally pudding-like.
you can practically make out from the pictures in the previous entry.

finally i have my hair-color down a tone darker, less copperish, more ashish.
Trimmed to a fuller look
and fringe kept center parted (which my stylist say its intrend)
i like the after effect,
thou i'm prepared that many will not even notice the difference.
Like whats new!

For those who are concern / curious maybe,

Transition of my feet....

Initial Bloat ---> Casting

Straight after removal of cast.

(Notice there is hardly any gap between my toes?
And YES, this is how my feet still look when the "specialist" declared that i'm ready to let it heal on its own.)

Its finally fine now. I have ditched the crutches and able to stand / walk on my feet.
Running is still a challenge thou. ;)

"Ti Ki" me still wanna make up for that disastrous trip. So.....

Genting Highland!! After almost 3 yrs.

'This' Mountain Villain (山贼） is still literally extorting money.
Foodcourt food at ridiculous high prices.
A bowl of Bah Ku Tei + 1 rice = abt. 25 Ringgit (unacceptable!!!!)

Didn't play much of the ride, except for the Flying Coaster which is a mere 1min max? And a tour around Genting in the Catepillar Ride. Then its casino, casino, casino.

First time at the Big/Small table which is soo much fun. You can go for the safer bets on big/small, even/odd, 1number out of 3dices. Or more exciting bets on gambling for a double, triple even. These are some of the much easier bets to understand. At least some analysing can be made. Predicting on patterns, etc... So much different compare to poker cards which is solely based on luck. (Any rational one would have oppose to this statement, wholly. Wadever!~ =DD)

That's my limit on writing. Pictures!....

I think my 八字 must have clash with Malaysia.

This time round i came back with Sore throat, Running Nose and Cough.

Didn't eat any particularly heaty food. Or its the change in weather temperature?

This is bad....

Now every food is tasteless. *Grumps* I want my nose back!!

- Cant find cable to upload picture yet
- Have progressed from taking 2 crutches to single side.
- I still need crutches.
- The crack is still there.
- I have miss work for months and the doc stop giving me Medical Leave and left me to heal by myself and thats it!
- The doctor is useless except for x-ray-ing.
- I may have to face work sometime soon (maybe this week)
- How am i suppose to take MRT?
- This has dragged for 2 and half months.
- I have been staying-in for 2 and half months too!
- Apart from Internet, Tv, Sleeping and Eating there's seriously nothing much to do.
- Gained massive weight!!
- I dun need anyone to comment on me getting fatter.
- Boredom is an excuse for eating.
- Fracturing my leg is an excuse for not exercising.
- Oh ya, my one leg is flabbier than the another. =.="

On good notes,

- Kopi have turned 1 year old!
- The boredom have forced me to my books.
- I yearned for class more than ever.
- Watching D slping late and waking up early for work have made me waking up earlier to feel less guilty for staying in the comfort of home.

Malacca / Port Dickson / Swollen Feet

been bumming my ass at home for a month already.

suppose to be an enjoyable short getaway breather, yet i came back literally immobilised.

on the 8th Aug, i with my dad went across the border
in hope to their beach for some Sun and Sand and Waves
preparing for some serious beach activities.

thoughtfully stuffed a huge bag
with many bikinis, shorts, spags, dresses
not forgetting sun-tanning lotion
the typical gal miscellaneous

IF only i / we have foreseeability.

mid-way of the journey, we stopover at Malacca in search for
the Nonya Cuisine or lunch to fill the growling noises
(this was the very first stop)

see how anticipated i was!

Need to go across to the another side.

Waited for the traffic on top of the normal curb.

(something like that)
(the usual kind in the middle that separate the different direction flow of traffic)
(just alot higher. Nothing like the smooth slanted side)
(more like a whole row of high blocks)

Time to cross~

Looking straight, i let my foot down.
Not knowing the drastic height difference
and to make it worst, my foot landed in a pothole.

in a split second, my left knee was on the ground.
And to prevent myself from lying flat,
i stomp my right feet flat for a brake.

Next, i can no longer stand.
Sitting in the middle of the road,
while enduring the pain, i'm gradually at the verge of blacking out. again~
since a few entries back.

Whole face turn sheet white pale in cold sweat.

It took my quite a few minutes to get hold together.
scared the shit outta my family and friends
who passes me medicated oil, candies to make me feel better.

the rest just happened amongst the pain.

oh ya, i met a fellow singaporean
who helped to disinfect my left knee wound with an antiseptic alcohol wipe
and continue so, despite my tears due to the sting.
my family member would have stopped with my begging.
Couldn't recall if i've said thanks.
Thank you!

Not wanting to spoil the trip,
i put up a brave front and insisted to carry on as plan.

Finally reached Port Dickson.

Struggled the way through.

Make it to the beach in my bikini,
but without a touch of the seawater.

Although we only stayed for a night,
i'm glad that the rest had at least swim in the sea,
played a tiring kayak,
and another swim in the pool.
else, i'll be sooooo guilty.

Was actually thinking of going to Genting for the second day.
Continue the brave front.

On the another hand, i'm thankful that we were heading home instead.
My feet have swollen over the night
and i can barely move around.

Touch Down in Singapore,
i was sent straight to Alexander Hospital A&E

after x-ray, its proven that i have fractured my feet.
the intense pressure and weight could have caused the hairline crack.

The Specialist said that the very least period for recover is 6weeks.

I'm in my 4th~5th week already.

I can't wait to start walking normally.
Hopping around is no fun.

when my happiness is back, i won't hold back to share here.

meanwhile, its the same boring stuff at home.

Serangoon Garden open a new dessert hangout place "Dessert Bowl" and i went to check it out couple of weeks back.

After reading some reviews, its known not to order their HoneyDew Sago & Strawberry Ice (unless you are craving for real sour stuff). Still, you should judge it for yourself.

Dessert which top their chart is Mango Sago & Durian Mousse.

So we ordered Durian Mousse, Mix Fruits with milk pudding, Jackfruit Sago (something new for a change), Durian Crepes & Mango De Creme.

Durian Mousse:
- Absolute must try for a durian lover. Just the very first and only 1 mouth needed for a wholesome mouthful thick of durian aroma. Durian made into mousse & top with durian.
- Cant really comment on the mousse part as the durian taste overpower everything. It feels like i'm eating real durian thats chilled. It can either be a pro or con.
- Con being that i could have just went for the real thing.

Mix Fruits with milk pudding:
- Fresh fruits bits
- Very mild tasting milk pudding
- When eaten after the durian mousse, this just taste bland.

Jackfruit Sago:
- Refreshing jackfruit with hard sago. Tally with other people's review on the sago part.
- On the whole, it is too watery in our opinion. Would have like a thicker texture.
- Except a change from mango to jackfruit, it is actually just normal. Can give it a miss.

Durian Crepes:
- Not worth trying.
- Although real generous durian fillings, it does not complement with the crepes. As though they belongs in two different world.

Mango De Creme:
- TOO SWEET!
- A innovative dessert inspired from Creme Brulee. The usual custard base with mango cubes and mango puree.
- But caramelized sugar is too sweet for my liking.
- More expensive than the rest with the smallest portion.

Still, the place ambience is good, quite a nice place for gathering. I may visit the place again for the second time to try their hot desserts, drinks and the mango sago.

Off to town on a Saturday!

Its been long since D and i went early to town and for the entire day.

I woke up early just specially for Fr3b Concept Store.

Their Opening on 1st Aug, and i didn't want to miss a thing.

The membership does cost me $28 annually, but was given a so-called min. $50 worth of goodies bag.
However, they left out certain items in my goodies bag, so you might catch me again at the store.
The membership thingy did make me consider whether or not i should join, but for the fact that retail size samples were available, it tempts me.

I was thrilled to find these samples available:

Thought this was Brands InnerShine - Berry Essence, but its Prune Essence instead. (New in the market i believe)
I want to try Berry Essence too!!!

This taste of REAL PRUNE JUICE, but concentrated kind, so its really a mouthful thick of prune taste.
A tad too sweet, so it may even be diluted to make prune juice.
Its suppose to be beneficial for the skin, provides Vitamin C and promote healthy digestive system, thou i cant really tell the effect from just a bottle.

Still if you'd like to try out the taste first, you know where to go.

Thou the sample size is really small of 5ml only.

And many a times, dragging was the case for my absent here.

LIVERPOOL VS SINGAPORE

D, the die hard fan, was excited of their appearance here after a long absence of 8 years.

So when his friend have an offer for the centre seats,

he grabbed it.

26th August the big day.

Liverpool jerseys can be seen everywhere.

But not me... I'm a supporter of their Rival Team. (need no mention rite?!)

I did thought of wearing Man U jersey for the match,

just for the sake of annoying him.

But i'm glad i don't own one.

Those who did, was jeered badly.

Arrived at 5pm for the 7pm match to kick-start

was evidently not kiasu enough.
We were sitting high back up and barely can see the players' face.

Had we known earlier that this match will be broadcasted live on tv.

still, its the live atmosphere that matters

i suppose.

Time to showcase my baby

I envy those parisians and taiwanese
being able to bring their babies out walking on the streets,
with many choices of dog cafes,
and no worries of passerby stares
especially in shopping malls.
Its heaven for them.

Unlike here with limited areas where i can bring my baby to. Have to be so cautious of his presence just because this is not a dog-friendly country. So i'm extremely delighted to find real swimming pool for dogs, just a corner from my place.

(Beaches are great but washing up is a hassle. Plus, you cant be too sure of the benefit or damage seawater will done to their skin.)

1) PC Show

Helping out for the 2nd time

I'm in charge of promoting Motorola Products designed for Ipod.

Strangely, i was photographed by Asiaone
and they name me Show Gal for Motorola Booth.
(named the wrong booth!)
They even had a contest to vote for the favourite one.

As usual, the sweet and sexy and young gals top the chart.
One had skin fitting outfit.
Another just have the Kawaii look that even i adorn.
I am merely a promoter in polo tees, sneakers, tied back hair,
totally out of the category of show gal.
Still, some of the comments i receive make my day!

its not those choc-co-a-lley choco cake
but mousse like layer with sweetness that's just right~
i could eat the whole thing yet not sick of it.
Better than awfully chocolate i would say.

Chocolate not enough? there's Ice-Cream!

The 2 couples bought me Swensen Cake
with the signature 3 layers flavours.

The waitresses even mistaken the cakes were for 2 different person.

Shocking Ugly

I've got ugly knees!

When i was a kid, i used to fall alot.
I trip easily, even on flat ground.
From big wooha cries to ouch! but used to it.
(blame it on my jelly legs, clumsiness)
And i always land on my knees contributing to the permanent scars.
On Both Knees!

2 weeks ago, on a split second
i just got sooo giddy
i see nothing, Blackout
and down i drop, on the floor, not capable of finding the strength in my feet

it couldn't be worse,
except that stubborn me...

with these running in my mind:
"what am i doing?"
my frens are panicking, asking if i'm alright
"i'm fine! there couldn't be anything wrong. I need to stand up to show i'm fine"

So i struggled to my feet and drop flat down immediately unwillingly.
Feeling more pain than before.

So i have bruised and scarred my knees,
knocked and scratched my forehead plus swelling,
bite my lips.

The scratch mark on my forehead is gone.
But still slight swollen.
cos i'm reluctant to touch it, less rub it
fearing i could really get disfigured.

No doctor.
But my dad made me eat Vitamins.
I was told that i have low blood pressure,
(which is definitely not true! i'm perfectly healthy!)
plus seriously lack of sleep.
in such, i'm encourage to climb to bed at 9pm.

yesh, 9pm~
Like who goes to bed at 9pm now.
Time check: 1036pm
But i'm trying to heed the advice
and at least sleep before 2am instead of my usual hours 3am /4am /5am

Heard on the radio yesterday and this theme got my attention:

"What is the most disgusting 'things' that you have put into your mouth before?"

'things' not necessary food.

There is this caller who said that when she was young,
she saw her younger brother sitting at the doorstep putting an ant into his mouth,
after that, both of them hunt for ants together.

I have not had an ant before. (excluding those which i might have had unknowingly in my food thus far)
Though i have thought of eating those exquisite fare serve in Bangkok,
but still it remains a thought.

But i've too had my share of disgusting things...
In my childhood time,
when i'm especially full of curiosity.
**I had taste Nose Gold before!!**
(yes, its 鼻屎)
I told D, yet he says that is normal!!

thinking that i've forsake my blog long enough,
so here i am.

But i didn't really know what to write, how to start,
so i'm actually typing these as my nonsensical opening.

alright then, how does IT Show sounds to you?
It was the talk of the town for 4days rite.

the news were all about it:
the many storeys of Suntec which it occupied
the innumerous of human flow
the sales in relate to the economy
etc, etc, etc

I wasn't an IT Geek and in fact an idiot to it.
D hates the crowd & the unbearable human jam.
so expectedly, i've never (at all) been to the previous IT Show.

until now.

finally i witnessed the scene.

helping out, hopping around 2 booths:
Greenlight & another i forgotten

if you remembered the offer for iPhone Cases going at awesome sale of $20+
yeap, thats where i am.

there for 2 days
Black for Sat & White for Sun

starving on 1st night,
i had steamboat at bugis and was eating, eating, eating non-stop
it didn't help when they have freeflow of canned drinks
what a bargain!

and you notice how bloated i got the next day?!
sickening water-retention ah!!!

a good lesson not to eat / drink too much

Sunday to the beach

Its both our first time

His first time to the beach, had his first swim

Her first time bringing him to the beach, see him swim

Good thing the weather was just like me
Sunny!

(i even caught a slight tan when i was hiding in the trees shadow)

Asked my Dad along too.
Been many many years since he step foot on Sentosa ground.

Remembering when taking ferry was the only way.
To taking a long stroll across the newly constructed road with my brother.

yet, and never together by the train before.

Back to the beach.

We started out playing balls on the sand.

The usual throw and fetch.

Had the idea of training him leaping up using frisbee.

But he only chases after it.

And when the frisbee drop flat on the sand, he cant get it with his mouth.

Initially~

Fetching game only lasted for awhile

as Kopi got himself into a huge mess

having sand in his mouth and near his nostrils

because he kept using his nose as a "digger"

=.="

We waited till the Sun is almost down before going into the sea.

And in so many years, like more than 5 years!
I let myself into S'pore Sea!!

Oh gosh! I hated sea water and the coarse seabed.

Still, its worth it swimming with my baby.

Btw, he hates the waves!

So we literally had to coax him into sea.

I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Not the bathing part thou.

And the tiredness. Ha!

Did it before CNY at a fren salon
who manage to get me the color i've been eyeing for.

I actually wanted it even lighter but the hair will appear drier.

Now my black roots can be seen slightly.

Christmas Eve was spent in Sengkang, a fren place for 3rd or 4th year in a row.

The christmas air got into me & i dress up slightly for the feel.

Tried on new colours, how does an orange eyeshadow sounds?

Went to Orchard in search of last min pressies for the exchange,
and gained a few exchange of glimpses with my headpiece.

BBQ, Xmas gift xchange and Popping of 'Champagne'

I drawn the lot '5' and receive an Organiser + NoteSet!

very usable and handy which i carry 1 with me e-ver-ry-day =D

ended the party with a must-have CANDY CANE

just right for Christmas.

One day in January marked the 1st Tattoo Show in SG

Witnessed an abnormal sight

with everyone appearing in the same outfit - tattooed skin

A real eyeopener! Bring my understanding in tattoo to a different level.

I used to prefer normal black-white tattoo to colored tattoo
but that was in the past.

I never knew colored tattoo could be as exquisite as these:

His appearance led to a never-ending que.

I wasn't a fan of Miami Ink, but even i, heard of it.

Our highlight for every year

This year happened in Pasir Ris -HomeTeamNS

being unable to stay, i went for the barbeque.

and especially for the ultimate Treasure Hunt.

I must say, great job!!

After years of this tradition,
there is great improvement this year with the planning, the clues

I am soooo proud of ourself after solving the first clue!
(without pestering the gamemaster for help for the 1st time)

So much so that i cant shut myself from saying wow!

not sure about rest of the team,

it wasn't an easy task spotting the hole between the rocks.

pity that i didn't take a snap of it.

but if you happened to be at Pasir Ris Park around BBQ pit '13'
lookout for a row of rocks with the marking '5'
perhaps you can still find our remaining clue

(since we had a team drop out halfway)

yesh, we had everything plan out, but the Brothers were lucky to have escape a few.

Btw, in the ultimate task, the groom got himself a Tweety Boy. Ooohhh~~ What a joy!

The night was ended in a Bangkok Disco.

Skin Type: Combination Skin (Oily T-Zone, Dry Cheeks)
Skin Colour: Yellow Skin, Medium Tone

(A) Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil (15ml)

Like: Remove makeup thoroughly
Dislike: -

My first cleansing oil. Does remove makeup swiftly including waterproof mascara. However, might need to use sufficient amount else its a little dry to spread. Have a pleasant sweet smell.

Emulsify very easily with just a few drops of water. However, i find this process a hassle.

Will 'cloud' eyes & abit eyes stinging. Will still recommend to use separate a Eyes Lips Remover.

No bad reaction to my skin. No clogging of pores. So...this is good news.

This sample is no longer available in Fr3b.com, but i still see the trial pack going for $1.95 in Watsons. Lasted for quite awhile.

(B) Eucerin Hyaluron Filler Eye (3.5ml)

Like: SPF 10
Dislike: Not moisturising enough

Did not show much effect after a few application. My main concern is dark circles which shows no improvement.

Labelled for Anti-Age and contains Hyaluronic Acid, but it does not feel moisturising enough. And instead, cream form is alittle dry to spread. Would advise to use sufficient amount & apply by tapping motion.

Since its not too rich and can be absorb quite readily, it can be wear before makeup.

Sample no longer available in Fr3b.com. Although Retailing @ $51/15ml (maybe abit pricey), but my small tube of sample (3.5ml) lasted for quite awhile.

(C) Lioele Beyond solution BB cream

Like: Good coverage, Smooth application, Affordable price
Dislike: -

I'm in love with this product. Currently my favourite BB cream.

Texture is moisturising enough for smooth application yet no oily skin in middle of day.
The 'nude tone' gives natural finish yet well coverage. Good enough to replace foundation.

No bad reactions & no clogging of pores. Two-thumbs up.

Retailing @ 50ml- $36.00

(D) MAYBELLINE ANGELFIT LIQUID FOUNDATION

Like: Lightweight, Good coverage
Dislike: -

Really lightweight, watery, easy to apply yet coverage is good.

However, the sample comes in 'Nude tone' which is really too fair for my skin. So review is based on one application only.

I was down listening to the live racing & watching with the crowd by the Big Screen.

Yeap, i aint rich or lucky to own the grand stand tix, but still i went in for free & 'oohhh' with the mass during the major incidents. An experience & great opportunity for businesses with more than overprice. A simple cup of Kopi (in kopitham style) can cost like 3bucks. =.="

Hair treatment day with gf - yx

We did the new treatment that uses hot steaming & cooling to penetrate the nutrients deep in. But i cant comment on the effect as itchy backside us, tried on the iron curler for fun. So instead of smooth silky hair, we gets curls & waves.

最近的我有点迷失。

不知为啥忙碌，没精神。

上学为了文凭，做工为了钱，但文凭和钱都永远不够。

和我从小就认识玩闹的小学朋友，我们的麻将卡拉ok聚会也拖了好多个月。

和我零零散散的poly朋友，但每次时间都不搭。也缓缓的脱离。

总总都在我努力进一步时。。。以十大步的远去。

Remembered a (more than) few post back i held a little quiz?
to guess 'the' occasion for that day that took place in Suntec?

although nobody tried guessing (as expected),

here is the answer:

my 2nd time to Wubai's Concert
due to the 2 hard dying men as shown above.

so my role is to act as a listener.

i tolerated through a 'siao ding dong' song
tried to stay awake amidst a series of slow songs
and
still enjoyed the concert, to my ~~dismay~~ surprise.

His signature oldies are still the best
which got the crowd all heated.

my favourites are:

你是我的花朵

i used to find Wubai somewhat beng-ish, songs like so in the past, so 'out'
yet now, i quite admired his abilities:
- strong powerful vocal that stays throughout till the end
- making his fans all damn high
- coming back with encore & more encore

though darling mention that his 'stunts' were the same for every concert,
its still an eye-opener for me at his 'real' concert.

though it should be interesting, but it was only alright.
not much of actions frankly.

and the players are so teeny weeny (from my view)
i cant make out who is who.

it was a last min decision
largely due to the price slash.

arrived 30mins late
and miss the first 2 goals.

this is a much much smaller exhibition compared to the rest that i've done

Good thing that the Koreans are nice to work with.

And they surprise me in many ways too

BroadcastAsia2008 is another new experience for me.

Working for NHK
who are really friendly and caring
changes the perception i initially had in japanese.

i can't express how joyed i am
with the unexpected bouquet,
especially when i just know them for that few days
and casual mention of my birthday happening 2 days ago.

during the morning briefing

after the end of exams, i celebrated my birthday in advance on the week's sat

it was spent in OO again

i went to bed at 5am today morning and was still in bed by 1pm
then came a call asking me to open the door

didn't expect them to come.

darling brought his niece to my place
all the way from the northeast to the west.
(its her very 1st time to my place)

my faithful reader shld know that i and his niece is really close.
But despite her constantly asking,
i hadn't been able to go over due to exams.

we have plan to bring her for 'Kungfu Panda'
and which we brought forward it to today.

(she can do better 鬼脸 than me. especially the flipping of eyelids which is real gross.)

the movie was okay. not the nicest cartoon around.
and definitely not worth the $10.50/pax
but
the kid likes it which matters the most. :)

anyway, i better get back to the books.

Few months back, i have very serious breakout.

what triggers it, i'm not sure either.

From piling on makeup to light makeup

Now, i finally took my 1st step to going bare face
(with my darling's support)
though occasionally still have few pimples & acne scars
i'm glad not having to makeup when going out for lunch just that short while.

plus plus,

my battle with books gives me pimples

and i attempt to cover it. Ha!

yesterday was a short breather and manage to went to bed slightly earlier.

Although the usual plot with lots of resemblance to "Just Married", i would still recommend.
